Dual Meet Results at Tyee
Thursday, Sept. 21 was our first dual meet of the season. We ran at a very muddy and wet Tyee course against Tyee and Mount Ranier. Hazen was also in the meet, but we did not score against them. The boys JV had dry weather during their race. The girls, however, were not as fortunate. It rained about as hard as possible during the entire girls race. This explains why I have almost no pictures from the girls race. The boys, amazingly, had blue sky and sunshine while they ran. The course, however, had an extra inch or two of standing water all over it.
Both boys and girls teams ran great. Everyone competed very hard. Our girls lost a heart breaker to Mt. Rainier, but they ran their hearts out. I was very proud to be their coach after that race (or I should say, even more proud than usual).
