Richland Results

Our boys had a solid run at the Richland Invitational. We finished in 8th place out of the 30 teams that were in the elite Division 1 race. There were great teams at the meet, with 5 ranked in the top 50 in the entire United States! We beat all of the teams that we should have beaten, and almost beat a couple of nationally ranked teams. All in all, it was a great racing experience and a good result for our team. Good job guys. Now we have three more weeks to keep getting better.

Great Races and Lots of Fun at Mt. Baker

We had a great weekend at the Mt. Baker invitational. Everyone had a blast, and we ran great. We didn’t have our full team with us this year for a variety of reasons. Our varsity boys took the weekend off, because they will be running next weekend at the Richland Invitational. A few other team members had to take the SAT. Inspite of this, our team was impressively competitive at the meet. In the JV boys race, we took 9th place. Our girls finished 5th, and in the varsity boys race we finished 8th.

Here are the times of the people who ran this year AND last year, with the amount of improvement:

Ashley P. 25:19 -3:23
Evan F. 18:12 -:40
Titus 19:20 -2:03
Evan L 20:00 +:45
Jasmine 19:16 -:45
Liz 22:10 +:26
Brenna 23:23 +:43
Westerling 17:06 -1:21
Mitchell 17:10 -:39
Colton 17:15 -1:55
Grant 17:20 -2:10
David 18:40 -2:12

Bellingham/Mt. Baker info

This Friday, Sept. 30th, we are leaving for Bellingham and the Mt. Baker invitational. We will stay at the Bellingham Travelodge (360) 733-8280. We will leave Lindbergh at 2:30 Friday. After we check into the hotel, we will go for a run at nearby Lake Padden. Dinner and freetime from about 6:30 – 8:30. In your rooms by 10:00 p.m.

The meet takes place at Silver Lake, up Mt. Baker highway about 30 miles. The JV girls run at 11:45, the JV boys run at 12:30, the varsity girls run at 1:15, and the varsity boys run at 2:00. On the way back we will have dinner in Bellingham. We will be back at Lindbergh around 7:30.

Because the homecoming dance is Saturday, we will send one of the vans back as early as possible with the people who are going to the dance. Hopefully the dance van will be back by 6:00 (we will do the best we can–be flexible dancers!).

Run-a-thon Tuesday around Lake Youngs

2011 Mileage Club Earners

Congratulations to the following team members for qualifying for one of the Lindbergh Cross country mileage clubs. Runners can only earn the 250 Mileage club one time (otherwise we would have many more in this category). This summer we set a record for the number of team members who reached the 500 mile mark in three months of summer training. This summer also marked the first time we had a girl reach the 500 mark! Great job everyone.
