Cross Country Awards Banquet
Tuesday, November 14th 6:00 – 8:00 pm
This will be a potluck dinner. Your families are invited. Everyone needs to bring something—see the list below.
Freshmen: Salad or Side Dish
Sophomores: Desserts
Juniors: Drinks
Seniors: Main Dish
**I will provide paper plates, plastic forks, cups, etc.
The state meet is in Pasco at the Sun Willows golf course. The team will leave Friday morning at about 7:30. We will run the course Friday afternoon. The 3A boys race starts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The awards presentation will take place at about 3:00. The team will leave Pasco at about 3:30. We'll drive to Yakima for dinner. We will be back at Lindbergh around 9:00 pm.
We are staying at the Kennewick Super 8 hotel. The school pays for the hotel and some of the food costs. Team members will need to bring some additional money to pay for their meals. They should also bring money if they want to purchase state meet gear.

This Saturday, Oct. 28th, is the West Central Distict Meet at American Lake Golf Course. The 3A Girls race is at 1:30, and the 3A Boys race is at 2:30. For directions to the course and other information, go to the West Central District Meet website: http://www.wiaa.com/Dist3/b_Cross_country.htm

This Saturday, 10-21, is the League meet. It takes place at Evergreen High School. Here is the schedule:
9:30 be at Lindbergh
11:30 Girls varsity race
12:00 Boys varsity race
12:30 JV boys and girls race
1:15 Awards
2:00 or 2:30 Back at Lindbergh
Wednesday, October 11th, we have our all-city meet at Seward Park. The race times are the same as previous meets (3:30, 4:00, and 4:30).
The start and finish on the course at Seward Park are at the highest elevation level of the park. The start is near the amphitheater. You can either park down below and walk up the hill, or you can wind your way up to the top and park near the start. The finish is off the road on the main trail a little ways–about 200 meters from the start.

Several people have asked about the race schedule for the league and district meets. I will post more information about them later. However, here are the times of the races. Remember that everyone runs in the League meet, but only the top seven boys and girls run at districts.
The All-City meet was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 12th. Due to conflicts with Seward Park, we had to change the meet to Wednesday, Oct. 11th. The races times are the same. Spread the word.

This Saturday, Sept. 30th, we run in the Mt. Baker Invitational at Silver Lake, which is north of Bellingham. The team will leave Friday after school and stay the night in Bellingham.
