Going To State!

Olga Sievers ran an outstanding race, finishing 14th in the 3A girls race, which qualifies her to run in the state meet next week. This time also moves Olga up to the #15 spot on the All-Time fastest list. Bailey, Madeline, and Patti all ran great races as well.

The Boys team also qualified for the state meet. They finished 3rd in the race with 88 points, behind Peninsula (54 pts) and Franklin Pierce (76 pts). Chris Miland finished an impressive second place over-all, and we placed three runners under 17:00. Chris moved up to the 9th spot on the All-Time list for the boys. Matt Miland was the top freshman in the district. Ranvir has been stuggling with tendonitis in his knee, but gutted out a tough race inspite of the pain.

Here are the individual results.

The girls team ran a strong team race, finishing 4th in the King Division and earning a spot at the district meet next saturday.

The J.V. Boys defeated the Kennedy boys to take fourth place.

Lindbergh Boys Sweep All-City

The varsity boys finished their dual meet season a perfect 7 – 0. In a race where all the teams ran very well, Lindbergh came out on top–barely. We easily defeated Kennedy and Renton, but we beat Hazen on a 6th runner tie break. Chris Miland took first place in the race, while Tor Ferguson ran a beastly 4th place finish. Ranvir has been having knee problems and almost didn’t run in the race. He took one for the team, however, and suffered through the challenging course. His gutsy race gave us the tie breaker.

Amazingly, Renton boys beat Hazen on a 6th runner tie break as well.

The Girls team, though losing to Renton and Hazen, ran very good races. Patty Harvey, in particular, ran the best race I have ever seen her run.

Here are the complete results.

Results are mixed at the rainy Mt. Ranier course

The Varsity Boys team continued in its undefeated ways this afternoon as they easily defeated Evergreen and Mt. Ranier.  The guys followed the race plan of just treating this race as a workout, running in a nice tight pack at tempo pace.  The Girls team and the J.V. boys each dropped the race to Mt. Ranier but easily defeated Evergreen.  Here are the times.  The varsity boys times are not included since the entire race took a wrong turn and cut off about 240 meters.
